Get in the Wind, LLC, founded in 1992, originally began as a small retail kite and sundries shop in Destin, Florida. In 1995, the company began production of Windfeathers® to attract attention to the retail store. Soon, demand for Windfeathers® outpaced kite sales and national distribution began.
